I will never visit again
I was very disappointed with food I had the turkey off the special board and it was the worst turkey I have ever had the sprouts where undercooked the parsnips where hard and the roast potatoes where hard I got a little pot of gravy which was tasteless the pig in blankets where pink and a little ring of stuffing it all was disgusting and I wasn't the only one who complained about there food around the table one even complained that much they got there money back im not one too complain so didn't

Well below par.
Disappointing. My favourite place to go in Blackburn and today was not very nicè the chicken Kiev was dry and the garlic tasted bitter there was th salt already on the chips then the gammon was placed on the chips witch is char grilled so the gammon went really salty and the chips went black . Plus was quite cold. by the time I got table checked it was too late and seemed pointless complaining .

An Unmitigated Disaster
The Wedding ceremony: The room for the ceremony was not set up as requested by wedding couple - this was for personal reasons suffice to say they were important. The wedding partys flowers were lost - I was asked by a member of the staff if I knew where they were! And I was a guest! At the time of signing the register, it had gone missing, dispite being provided the day before ceremony. Before it even began, the bride (quite understandably) was in tears due to ineptitude of staff.

Awful food
Food was cold, didn't have what was on the menu and agreed for a substitute, which I could have cooked better myself. Oven chips, cold veg and just not nice.

I paid for 3 empty rooms out of 4 at the Cottons hotel
Unable to reclaim this expense at work, so I personally lost +£420. I was hoping for some professional interaction and understanding from the hotel but the first time I got silence and on the subsequent occasion, received a direct no at reception. Pretty sure a hotel such as Cottons could have survived without this additional revenue. Will not book any of my clients into Cottons hotel again and warn my colleagues to avoid this hotel.

Remortgaged my house for a G&T...
I came on a pub crawl night out with friends and I ordered a gin and tonic at the bar. I was asked for £8.30 and when I questioned why it was so expensive (it was a single!)- I was told because it was a Tanqueray?! I showed them the gin menu where it said £6.50 and the barmaid wasn't having any of it. I reluctantly paid and left. £8.30 for a G&T? Won't be back anytime soon...

Quite uncomfortable due to the freezing cold room
The room was freezing cold. We couldn't get the temperature above 15oC and the air conditioning blew cold air all night. The shower room was freezing , even with the heated towel rail on. The breakfast wasn't very hot. The receptionist took a note of the problems we had encountered but didn't really offer any apology.

Don't bother going here.
Went on sunday and arrived at about 12:15. decided to have the sunday lunch which was advertised as roast beef or another roast meat, we were told that only beef was available and when it arrived it looked and tasted like very cheap meat, the mashed potatoes served with it were cold. the pudding was ok but the custrd served with this was also cold. will not be going again

Another good customer Lost
We have been regular customers at this pub over the years & always had good service and meals . . . until yesterday (Tuesday) lunchtime. You expect three things when you enter a restaurant: to be given a table, a menu & offered drinks. So we were given a table in full sight of the lady in charge and were then ignored for ten minutes, at which point we got up and left. As we left, the lady offered the excuse that there was a problem with the gas in the kitchen.

Stopped by here on our way to the coast.
Given a warm friendly welcome by the barmaid we ordered drinks and asked if they were serving food told sorry no finishes at 2pm, it was 2.03pm.However off she went to check with the kitchen and told yes you can order food, and that's what you call customer service. We both ordered club sandwich and oh boy was it worth the wait, toasted bloomer with a side of fries and side salad. It was absolutely gorgeous and a huge portion.
